Winter trip

Alright, so here we go. Living and traveling in New Zealand has been a wonderful experience so far. The North Island is filled with beautiful, rolling, grassy hills and lush rain forests (what's left of it), pretty cool climbing, some awesome hot springs and... oh yeah I can't forget sheep. In my not so humble opinion, the scenic splendors of the North Island pale in comparison to the South Island. Yes, there are still 324094603409360 sheep, but it has a raw, wild edge to it. The mountains are rugged, harsh and damn cold in the winter, but when you get up in them you are guaranteed a wild time. Some of the most precious places I've seen are here. The southern alps have many places in them that people almost never visit, or possibly never have. One would have to mount an expedition to get to some of the Fjords on the southwest coast, and the Catlins conservation park rivals the lost coast of California in its inaccessibility and its forlorn, windswept shores. It is pretty inspiring to find that there still are wild places where adventure can be found, even in this corner of the world.

To put it succinctly, which I have trouble doing, Victoria and I had a blast.
We went a little crazy at times

But all in all, life was pretty sweet. I reveled in it.

Rock on people. Commence pictures!
