Winter Trip: Hellboy

We headed by bus south from Picton to Christchurch. It was pretty uneventful, as it was nighttime. We spent the night at a YHA hostel in the city, and picked up our Wicked van the following morning. They gave us Hellboy. Each van they have has it's own paint scheme and theme; the Fear and Loathing one looked pretty cool, but I was happy with Hellboy. They are cheap, and possibly the only problem with renting one is sticking out like a sore thumb. Nothing screams tourist like a wicked camper. Every time we passed another one on the motorways, Victoria and I would give them a beep. It was always a kick. We woke up the next morning south of Christchurch near the bizarre Moeraki boulders. Beautiful!

Moeraki Boulders. Crazy!

A bit big and heavy to make a good soccerball, but it would roll well.

I'm not fat I'm big boned!

A group of boulders

They are some kind of limestone deposit, but information was scant.
